Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Value-Based Programs Analyst supports successful value-based provider relationships with a focus on improving the provider experience and achieving path-to-value goals through administration and maintenance of claim rules that facilitate claim adjudication and claim expense.
The Service Fund Claim Rule Team works collaboratively with Service Fund Load Operations and external department partners to ensure accurate claim adjudication and claim expensing. The Claim Rule team will create and maintain claim rules as needed per the contract terms.
+ Consults with market contracting teams to provide guidance for claims processing with minimal direction while following established guidelines/procedures
+ Creates or modifies claim rules and oversees corresponding claim funding movement
+ Validates pre and post claim rule work to ensure accurate quality outcomes
+ Researches, and resolves as needed, questions or unexpected variations in funding and expense changes resulting from claims work

Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications + At least 1 year of experience with data analysis
+ Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (ex. pivot tables, vlookups, basic formatting, etc)
+ Ability to quickly learn new systems
+ Proven experience in organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines
+ Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer experiences in a professional environment
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Experience managing workload in a deadline driven environment
Preferred Qualifications + At least 1 year of experience within the Humana Service Fund Department
+ Understanding of the health care industry, medical claim coding, and claim processes
+ CAS experience plus reading and/or interpreting medical claims
+ SQL knowledge and experience in writing SQL queries
+ Experience in provider contract interpretation, provider installation and/or Provider Value Based agreements
Work-At-Home Requirements To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
+ At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
+ Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
+ Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership. (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)
+ Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
+ Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
+ Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$57,700 – $79,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
