Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urgent Care Physician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing a wide range of urgent medical conditions including high acuity cases. This individual will play a critical role in providing timely and effective care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities:
Assess and treat patients presenting with high acuity medical conditions, including but not limited to severe injuries, acute exacerbations of chronic illnesses, and critical medical emergencies. Perform thorough medical evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing, to accurately diagnose patients' conditions. Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on the severity and nature of patients' conditions, utilizing evidence-based medicine and clinical best practices. Coordinate care with other healthcare providers as needed, including specialists, hospitalists, and emergency department physicians, to ensure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and educating them about their conditions and treatment options. Adhere to all relevant clinical guidelines, protocols, and quality standards, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting patient safety. Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and educational activities to enhance clinical outcomes and advance medical knowledge within the organization. Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited medical school. Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine. Active and unrestricted medical license in Oregon state. Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances. Minimum 2 years of experience practicing as a physician in an urgent care or emergency department setting, with a demonstrated proficiency in managing high acuity cases. Advanced clinical skills in resuscitation, trauma management, and critical care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick and sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations.
