Job summary
Responsible for providing a full range of risk, compliance, and operational underwriting audits.Assisting with and conducting underwriting audits for internal and external partners.Leading review processes around compliance per contractual agreements and business best practices.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Communicate with partners and monitor annual audit plan schedules.• Assist or lead on-site and remote audit projects.• Conduct special audit requests for senior management.• Create and review audit reports and discuss findings with partners.• Periodic travel for audits within the U.S. will be required.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of job-related work experience.• 5 years of underwriting experience.• Excellent organizational, customer service, oral and written communication skills.• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.• Good judgment and ability to handle confidential information.• Proficient spelling, punctuation, and grammar.• Extensive knowledge of underwriting and risk principles.• Required software: Microsoft Office.• Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.• Preferred work experience: 7 years of underwriting experience.• Preferred skills: Insurance course work in FLMI, HIAA, or BCA.• Preferred software: Knowledge of database software and computer systems support.
