The University of Michigan, School of Nursing (UMSN), Office of Undergraduate Studies is seeking an Undergraduate Nursing Education Simulation Specialist . This position will facilitate immersive simulation and skills lab experiences and explore innovative opportunities to enhance student learning within the undergraduate nursing program.
? A Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
? Copy of your nursing license in the State of Michigan is required for this position.
? Some experience with high-fidelity simulation equipment or experience in the clinical healthcare setting; an associate degree or various relevant coursework, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable skills can be attained is required.
? Demonstrated ability to understand and operate most equipment found in a healthcare setting.
? Demonstrated basic knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
? Demonstrated basic knowledge of the features and capabilities of basic multimedia equipment, including video equipment.
? Some prior experience in computer use, set-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance required. Proficiency with databases, digital audio-visual editing, ability to learn new technologies quickly and easily. Experience with setting up audiovisual equipment preferred.
? Demonstrated experience at the intermediate level in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), Win2000, XP, Windows 10, Mac OS, and other types of databases.
? Candidate must have high-level project management expertise and excellent communication skills, with the ability to receive and convey information clearly and concisely for various mediums.
? Strong relationship-building skills are essential, including a positive communication style and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

? Previous experience in healthcare simulation preferred.
? Must demonstrate great attention to detail.
? Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in rapidly changing situations and changing information and data.
? Must be able to plan, implement, and evaluate projects.
? Must reliably coordinate multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
? Demonstrated excellent problem-solving, decision-making, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
? Demonstrated team spirit, dependability, and initiative.
? Must be able to demonstrate ability to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
? 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; some occasional weekend and evening hours may be required.
