UI/UX Designer GeoMarvel is seeking an experienced and proficient UI/UX Designer to work closely with our leadership and development teams to create wireframes, and static and interactive design comps spanning various web and mobile development needs. Designers are expected to have an experienced understanding of best practices surrounding UI/UX, mobile design and common graphic libraries, with the flexibility to adapt to new and emerging technologies.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesYour general responsibilities include gathering and evaluating user requirements, working with project teams to identify key workflow elements, and the creation of wireframes and design comps to create highly intuitive and user-friendly applications. All created concepts must be brand-consistent across all design elements that our clients will provide to end users.
Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging design comps and wireframes for web and mobileProvide independent strategic thinking and leadership in an agile environment with an understanding of the full project life-cycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the design processParticipate in the development process from definition, through design, build, test, release, and maintenanceProvide qualitative insight UX trends and look for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel analogous worldsResearch and track advancements in mobile application design patternsBreak any design problem down into viable actionable chunks and solve them with clarity and precisionMust remain in the loop and on top of the latest standards, changes, trends in the mobile design field RequirementsStrong graphic design skills with 2-5 years of mobile application design experience A bachelor's degree or higher in graphic design, human-computer interaction, cognitive science or related fieldStrong ability to recognize & predict use-cases and user interaction, including happy path, edge and corner cases, and incorporate them into designsExcellent understanding of user-experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant workRoutinely deliver high quality designs to customersCan easily adapt in a rapidly changing environmentExpert level in using the follow tools: Photoshop, Sketch, Figma, InvisionAppAdvanced experience using Apple's human interface design guidelines, Android design and other mobile platform designs About GeoMarvelGeoMarvel is an award-winning geospatial software development, GIS solution service provider and Esri Silver Tier Business Partner based in the Washington DC area.
