Turquoise Ridge - Water Treatment Plant Operator

Position Description:Position requires worker to be multi-skilled and capable of performing a variety of tasks includingOperating, monitoring and maintaining an industrial water treatment plant and water collection system testing and analyzing water, materials and solutions to determine water qualityResponsibilities:Operate and monitor the water treatment plant;Operate and monitor the water collection system;Operate the computer system for the collection system and treatment plant;Perform maintenance and calibration of all water treatment plant equipment;Collect samples, monitor and take readings at outfalls, ponds, and other locations;Calibrate monitoring equipment and other instruments;Accurately perform various laboratory analyses;Operate mobile equipment in support of other activities;Perform other duties as assignedThe ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentMechanical skills requiredLaboratory skills and abilities are necessaryWorking knowledge of pumps and pumping systems preferredWorking knowledge of computers and software preferredAbility to effectively communicate orally and in writingWorking knowledge of water treatment plant operations preferredJob Identification229367Posting Date2024-04-25Apply Before2024-05-22Job ScheduleFull timeLocationsWinnemucca, NV, United States
