Position Description:Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Underground Network and Communication Technician to join our Cortez District Underground Maintenance Team.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Underground Network and Communication Supervisor, the Underground Network and Communication Technician is responsible for the following:Perform all network and communication maintenance duties required in the mine and on surface. Equipment includes, but not limited to fiber optic network, wireless network, Cisco switches, Radio and radio controls.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:Three (3) years experience with underground network and communicationspreferredFormal education in network and/or communicationspreferredPossess strong knowledge/skills in Network & Communications repair, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of complex underground equipmentpreferredWillingness to learn and apply new skills to repair all underground mobile mining equipmentrequiredProven safe work recordrequiredWillingness to work in a team based maintenance organizationrequiredStrong dedication to safety and courageous leadershiprequiredDemonstrated knowledge of SAP/EAMpreferred
