In this role you will have the opportunity to:Generate new truck and trailer sales through prospecting, cold calling, lead, and referral generation.Build, maintain and nourish current customers thorough customer visits and engagements, fostering an understanding of customer needs and operations and consistent and on-going customer communication.Provide solution-based sales of equipment and other offerings to include parts, service, rentals, leasing, and financing.Utilize company databases and CRM to build and maintain customer portfolios.Coordinate financing, warranty, and insurance for sales orders.Coordinate with internal parts and service departments for needed services/products associated with sales orders.Coordinate in office and field visits to maintain department's daily operations while meeting customer needs and demands effectively and efficiently.SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to follow standard operating procedures from start to finish for Thompson Truck Group sales process.Work with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of sales paperwork, bills of sales, licenses, etc.Ability to stay current with industry technology, products, and market trends.Regularly attend sales meetings, customer events and company events.Meet established performance goals set by management.Ability to contribute to departmental needed such as review and administration of OEM standard requirements, truck check ins and floorplan audits.Successful individuals in this role are team players with a strong written and oral communication, strong presentation skills, ability to maintain a professional appearance and presence and a strong work ethic.POSITION MINIMUM & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.Valid driver's license. CDL preferred.Proven history in prior sales roles.Knowledge of the truck dealership industry preferred.Basic computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office and OutlookPrior experience using CRM system such as Salesforce, Hub Spot and customer data bases like RigDig.WORK ENVIRONMENTAbility to sit for prolonged periods of time, including as a driver or passenger in an automobile.Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.Ability to regularly visit customer sites.Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh more than 25 lbs.BENEFITSCompetitive annual wage, plus commissionMedical, dental, vision401k with company matchCompany paid life insurance and supplemental insurance optionsPaid time off program(9) paid company holidaysRecognition and rewards programsDisclaimer:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
