Looking for a truck equipment technician to help with truck body installation, repair and crane work in South Portland Maine.
 Monday- Friday
$20-40 an hour DOE
Position Overview: Installation of all types of truck equipment, primarily medium and light duty: dump bodies, service bodies, platform/rack bodies, liftgates, service cranes, truck mounted forklifts Installation/fabrication of tow plates, racks, headboards Fabrication of accessories including toolbox brackets, side boards, cab shields, ladder racks Installation of accessories including strobe lights, toolboxes, load covers Installation of hydraulic components: PTO's, pumps, tanks, valves, hydraulic hoses Repair of light duty truck components Qualifications: Technician/Installation: 1 year (Preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude. Experience with hydraulics, welding, DC electrical systems are a plus. On the job training possible. Industry specific certifications Driver's License preferred. Ability to work efficiently, both independently as well as part of a team Strong focus on customer satisfaction Strong attention to detail Strong focus on safety in the workplace Ability to work well with others Ability to read and comprehend job work orders Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions Ability to write notes of work performed to communicate to Service Team Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional training or an Associate degree from a technical school preferred.
