Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have three plus years of experience as a traveling superintendent in the commercial construction industry. This role requires extensive travel to various job sites, and candidates must be comfortable with this aspect of the position.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing Construction Projects: Manage and supervise commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate on-site construction teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on all job sites to maintain a safe working environment.
Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Cost Control: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and schedule integrity.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and other relevant paperwork, and provide regular progress reports to management.
Travel: Travel extensively to various job sites as required, ensuring effective oversight and management of multiple projects.
Requirements:
Minimum of three plus years of experience as a traveling superintendent in the commercial construction industry. Proven track record of successfully managing and completing commercial construction projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members. Thorough understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials, with a focus on safety and quality. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications.
