Mi-Tech offers a broad range of professional, engineering and technical services to the telecommunications and power delivery markets. We have a current opening for a Traveling FieldTechnician. At Mi-Tech, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include: Communications Design Services, Energy Distribution Services, Utility Pole Inspection, and Environmental Services. Responsibilities: Ability to acquire field data to be used for the design of power distribution construction plans. Travel in and around Wisconsin and Iowa for two weeks at a time. Collecting field data utilizing GPS Units and other collection tools. Responsible for taking field notes and completing data collection for power utility projects Documentation of field data and taking measurements of existing utilities attached to power or communication company poles Complete and File permit applications Utilize software programs to analyze and compile collected field data Requirements: Valid drivers license The ability to work independently with minimal supervision Applicants must be detail-orientated and have the ability to multi-task Ability to handle more than one project at a time and to meet deadlines 0-1 years related experience Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Pole loading software (O-Calc, Spida) a plus. Knowledge in the Utility Industry. Specifically: Telecommunications, CATV, Gas, or Power Distribution a plus.
