JOB DESCRIPTION
528 bed hospital - Level 1 trauma center
The Certified Surgical technologist is responsible for the preparation of instruments, linen set-up and all equipment necessary to perform any surgical procedure. These responsibilities include the maintenance of aseptic technique in all surgical scrub procedures. Independent judgment is exercised under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse.
Wide variety of cases, bread and butter, plus more specialty cases.
QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience
Minimum of two years in specialty in similar size hospital
Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to move or lift patients with assistance.
License/Registration/Certification CPR (by the American Heart Association)
BLS, ACLS - American Heart Association
Education and Training Graduation from a surgical technology program or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
