Travel Center Cashier

Travel Center Cashier Location Henderson, NV (Valley View area) : It is the primary responsibility of the Cashier to provide exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty. We have several positions open: Cashier, Lead Cashier, and Supervisor. This position is available at Railroad Pass Travel Center and our new El Dorado Truck Stop/Travel Center. Great benefits available after 90-day probationary period. Greets customers in a timely and friendly manner in person or via the phone. Receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debit. Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers. Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change. Sorts, counts, and wraps currency and coins. Monitor's checkout stations to ensure that they have adequate cash available and that they are staffed appropriately. Maintains clean and orderly checkout areas. Establishes or identifies prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners. Calculates total payments received during an assigned time and reconciles this with total sales. Stocks shelves, and marks prices on shelves and items. Answers customers' questions and provides information on procedures or policies. Notifies manager on duty of any customers concerns or complaints. Performs all other job-related duties as requested. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required: Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in very high-paced and stressful environment. Ability to operate a POS system including handling all monetary/credit transactions. Ability to access all areas of the facility. Working knowledge of computerized cash registers. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures. Possess arithmetic skills and can read, write, and speak English. Effective verbal and written communications skills. Withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items. Excellent customer service skills. Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. Professional appearance and demeanor. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must be reliable and punctual. High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Previous cash handling experience. Previous experience working in a similar setting.
