Exciting opportunity for a skilled land use and transportation planner to join a progressive community and work to increase access and mobility while advancing racial equity and climate action through related activities, such as:
*implementing comprehensive plan, Carrboro Connects (www.townofcarrboro.org/2389/Carrboro-Connects-Comprehensive-Plan) and Bicycle Transportation Plan (www.townofcarrboro.org/1174/2020-Bike-Plan-Update)
*assisting with federally funded transportation improvements - greenways, multi-use paths, and sidewalks; lane reallocations to expand bicycle infrastructure; varied Town planning and infrastructure projects to improve safety, support transit and non-vehicular travel modes
*supporting Town transportation advisory boards, regional transportation boards, working groups, and subcommittees.
