This position is r esponsible for c oordinating shipments for the day-to-day transportation planning function. Researches and respond s to inquiries regarding distribution and shipping.  
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Performs work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment.
2. Responsible for coordinating the best cost carrier selection while maintaining service levels.
3. Books and schedules all LTL (less than a truck load) shipments through our third-party LTL vendor.
4. Responsible for performing tasks involved in traffic logistics management, including data input.
5. Works with vendors to ensure timely shipment to the customers.
6. Responsible for troubleshooting breaks and/or inefficiencies in distribution.
7. Provides services that guarantee timely and accurate delivery of goods manufactured by third parties inside or
outside the organization.
8. Schedules and coordinates shipments to meet internal and external customer requirements.
9. Communicates frequently with sales support personnel, vendors, and transportation carriers.
10. Submits reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
11. Performs general freight administrative duties.
All Employees have the following compliance obligations:  Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Product Compliance Policy.  Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations and market demands.  Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of Compliance Management System.  Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma/GED plus at least two (2) years' experience working in logistics
and/or supply chain management, bachelor's degree preferred.

Must have:
Exceptional interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in business computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with SAP or
analogous software is advantageous.
Advanced proficiency in data entry coupled with keen attention to detail.

Must be able to:
Engage proficiently with management, business groups, auditors, and clientele.
• Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
• Exercise sound judgment, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively with staff at all
hierarchical levels.
• Operate autonomously and efficiently manage multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.

Language Skills: Excellent telephone and oral communication skills. Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written
communication skills.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures by using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
Reasoning Skills: Ability to deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Possess
strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve problems in a diplomatic manner.
