The Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC-MN) is seeking a full-time Training Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about training, with experience working with Learning Management Systems, and extra kudos to those with SCORM-development software experience.

Role Title: Training Manager
Shift: Day Shift (8a-4pm or similar)
Schedule: Monday - Friday. Nights, Weekends and Holidays are not required for this role, but may be requested on occasion to meet deadlines.
Compensation: Hourly, dependent on skills, education, credentials, and other factors.

The primary function of the Training Manager is to ensure the training and development of all team members through mentoring, leading other trainers, communication of protocols, and partnership with the HR department head and team leads. This person reports directly to the Talent Director. Your Skills & Experiences. Who are we looking for? Teamwork and Development. You are proactive, supportive, and collaborative. You share knowledge, promote positivity, and take personal responsibility for your professional development. You are eager to recommend process improvements, as well as value opinions that may be different than yours. You seek and value open, honest communication and constructive feedback in a timely manner. Training / Learning Management Systems You have a passion for all things related to training and development. Including, but not limited to learning management systems, SCORM-development software, public speaking, and project management. You demonstrate a natural ability to actively listen, lead with curiosity and assume best intentions of others. You will analyze training and development programs, conduct assessments with team members and managers to identify skill gaps and assist in the creation of robust development plans to close those gaps. You will curate and design training curriculum and content to address skills gaps, and facilitate materials to deliver innovating and highly effective training programs for various levels of leadership and critical roles to close individual and organizational skill gaps. You will design and create computer-based trainings using Articulate 360, conduct train-the-trainer sessions, and manage the LMS to deploy trainings, coordinate enrollments and track completion of assigned tasks. Although you will not physically be handling patients often, you will work closely alongside them while focusing efforts to providing the best client care and support possible to both clients and the referring community.
