FS is currently searching for a Trailer Body Shop Technician (Level I) to join and support our Shop Team. This is an on-site role and we do not provide emergency road services. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform small patches, caulking/sealing, and other duties as assigned such as water testing, removing decals, sanding/grinding. Use hand tools as well as basic power tools and safety equipment such as lifts, jacks, and stands. Contributes to achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives. Accurately complete all forms of documentation including basic job descriptions on Repair Order and daily worked hours on Karmak application in a timely fashion. Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most Standard Repair Times. Communicate with Shop Manager and support team to discuss RO findings notes. Maintains a safe and compliant working environment. Attends management meetings when requested. Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years' experience in a related field, performing general body repair work.
Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required. Must have generally less than 2 years of experience in Trailer service and/or repair experience or technical school education or equivalent combination of education/skill/experiences. Good computer skills and ability utilize technology effectively and to learn new systems and applications. Possesses hand tools necessary to perform required job duties is preferred. Participate in and complete all-in company required training. The ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPS system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. Dependable, organized and committed. Positive attitude, good instincts, and self-motivation. Familiarity with the local geography. High energy, a positive attitude, adaptability, and strong work ethic. Resourceful and motivated.
