Job Description TRADE COMPLIANCE MANAGER


(This is a hybrid position)
The trade compliance manager is responsible for implementing a trade compliance program which allows for identifying risks, and preventing and mitigating damages related to the customs laws of countries where the company operates.


Role & Responsibility Classify (HTS, ECCN) and maintain recordkeeping database for import and export regulatory compliance. Provide Trade Compliance guidance, as well as support for all aspects of Import/Export regulatory compliance including, but not limited to, customs valuation, reconciliation, classification, tariffs, country of origin determination, marking and labeling. Serve as the direct liaison on Supply Chain projects and provide dedicated program support, including developing solutions to complex issues. Assist in implementation of Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program for all sites. Ensure compliance with all CTPAT's Minimum Security Criteria. Antidumping (AD) and Countervailing (CVD) Duty analyses. Country of origin solicitation. Analysis and audit of suppliers on certification of origin declared. Assist with economic sanctions program operations, including restricted party screening activities, forced labor review, and training for the business. Support the business in resolving daily export, import, and regulatory queries. Actively support and participate in cross-functional teams. Job Requirement Education Required: Bachelor's Degree. Experience Required: 5+ years. Certified Customs Specialist/Certified Export Specialist and/or Licensed Custom Broker preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of and experience of Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), U.S. Customs Regulations, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and Canada Customs and Regulations Proficiency with Trade Compliance software, i.e. E2Open and/or SAP GTS. Trade compliance experience within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Oracle and SAP ERP systems. Must have a strong understanding of various trade-related topics such as classification, valuation, assists, reconciliation, incoterms, recordkeeping, auditing country of origin, HTS/ECCN classifications, AD/CVD, duty optimization/Free Trade Agreements, export controls, sanctions, CTPAT, etc. Must have critical thinking skills, excellent research and analytical skills, strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills and be detail oriented. Experience dealing with major transportation carriers, especially ocean freight carriers pertaining to commercial terms, capacity, and efficient management of costs. Experience required in practical interpretation of Title 19 CFR, global tariff classification and other government agency trade requirements including ADD/CVD, FDA, NOAA, OFAC and USDA.
