Toxicologist

You'll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems. You'll use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions. Ultimately, you'll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

You Have:
Experience with designing and analyzing toxicology screens and research projects
Experience managing biostatistical support for a variety of toxicology related bioinformatics and text mining projects
Experience with R or SAS programming
Experience with statistical analysis of longitudinal and multivariate discrete data
Knowledge of high throughput screening (HTS) data, toxicology studies, machine learning and experimental design for genomics studies, dose-response, and environmental health studies
Ability to provide quality control metrics and biostatistical support for NextGen sequencing data or microarray data-based data analysis, epigenomic data analysis, and text mining in literature-based research
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Master's degree in Toxicology, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Biophysical, or Applied Sciences and 8+ years of experience in toxicology, or Doctorate degree inToxicology, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Biophysical, or Applied Sciences and 4+ years of experience in Toxicology
Nice If You Have:
Experience working in the NIEHS, FDA, or EPA
Experience with conducting statistical analyses in high-performance computing (HPC) or cloud environments
Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts clearly and concisely to management, clients, researchers, and on-site staff
Ability to independently conduct biostatistical analysis, report results, and draw scientifically valid conclusions
Ability to stay up to date with new trends and developments in multiple areas of biostatistics and computational methods and advise the Government regarding possible applications of such procedures to the Government's research

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
