Tool Tech I (Onsite: New Iberia, La)

The Tool Tech I under strict supervision, performs maintenance functions such as repairs on down-hole tools, surface equipment and other production equipment in the application for down-hole tools.Pay Rate:$16.00/hour Contract Length:6 month contract with the high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.Shift Hours:8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Monday - Friday, with several Overtime weekend optionsResponsibilities:Under strict supervision, performs maintenance functions such as repairs on down-hole tools, surface equipment and other production equipment in the application for down-hole tools.Assembles and disassemble down-hole tools, surface equipment, and other production equipment.Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process.Qualifications:Basic computer skills are preferred.Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.This is the entry level position into the tool tech family.Halliburton is an innovative leader in the oilfield services industry, providing products and services for the ever-evolving needs of the energy sector.Since starting out over a hundred years ago, Halliburton's path to success has been built on growth.
