Reporting to the Field Engineer, the tool room attendant is responsible for the maintenance and inventory of supplies within the tool room at a warehouse or business. The duties and responsibilities of a tool room attendant revolve around inventory control, but a tool room attendant must also understand how to use equipment to explain the process to new employees.
What You'll Do Here Responsible for organizing, identifying, marking, and tracking company owned tools. Inventories and places new tools in service. Identifies tools in need of replacement. Issues tools and equipment to personnel and maintains records of tool issuance and return. Assures that company tools are controlled and accounted for. Evaluates tool condition for wear and damage, assuring no damaged items are sent or received Ensures compliance with security policies and procedures. Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list Updating the product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables. Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments. What You Bring To The Team A minimum of two (2) years' experience in the nuclear/construction industry is preferred. Previous experience in tool maintenance, service, and repair. Strong computer proficiency. Strong proficiency with MS Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
