Full job description Turner Industries has an immediate need for a Timekeeper to join our team in the Norco, LA area. The ideal candidate will live in the local area, have industrial timekeeping experience and meet the following criteria:
Strongly skilled in G Suite/Google Workspace, Sheets and/or Excel (Pivot tables & VLOOKUP) a plus. Experience in JD Edwards or Enterprise One (E1) a plus. Experience with Track Software is a plus. Must have prior industrial or equivalent timekeeping experience. Must pass a timekeeping test (general knowledge of payroll requirements and daily/weekly time calculations). Must pass a credit and criminal background check. May be required to work periodic overtime. Should be detail oriented and organized. Should possess excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
General Job Description: Responsible for analyzing employees hours for employees wages to be paid in compliance with company, state and/or federal guidelines. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.

Functional Requirements: Reviews timesheets for completeness, analyzes employees' hours for accuracy based on schedule and enters hours into payroll system following company guidelines. May be required to: enter data into multiple source areas, allocate hours with cost coding structure, review others' work for detailed accuracy or comparison, track attendance or other source data, provide reporting details as directed, perform and produce additional assignments as required. Must maintain recordkeeping as mandated.

Qualification Standards: Knowledge of business machines, computers and/or menu driven applications Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation Turner Industries Group Orientation OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87) Job site orientation Job site dress code as required by the client Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety lanyard with harness, etc.) Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Physical Involvement: May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; typing / data entry; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment

Mental Involvement: May be required to do the following: follow set procedures and standards; follow oral/or written directions; knowledge of federal, state and company standards and regulations; ability to read and write; ability to recognize and report safety hazards etc.; interpret written plans and blueprints; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; ability to communicate with others effectively; ability to work in a team and get along with others; ability to learn new tasks; remember processes, maintain focus, and complete tasks; ability to remain calm under pressure; manage time and expectations across multiple projects; ensure that work is done in a consistent manner and in compliance with directions

Work Environment Factors: Location: industrial maintenance and construction sites and/or office environment Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground levels; obstructed pathways Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately indoor climate; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
