Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.What You'll DoWe're looking for a Game Tester to join the Fortnite Build Health QA team. You'll love this role if you're an innovative problem-solver who loves to ask the tough questions or solution designer who wants to make sure gaming software maintains a high quality standard; you should be willing and excited to constantly learn and grow in this quickly evolving area.In this role, you willExecute test cases with attention to detail to help ensure the quality of several productsThoroughly investigate and analyze issues to help find root causesWrite clear and concise steps to reproduce issues in a bug reportCommunicate issues and escalate if needed by understanding the larger goals of the productProvide reporting on blocking issues, testing results, and quality status to members of QA and other members of the development team as neededApply familiarity with features to uncover issues and inefficienciesWhat we're looking forTechnical software or troubleshooting skills (degree in Computer Science or equivalent, self-taught, or relevant experience)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Gaming Consoles and/or Mobile DevicesExperience handling multiple priorities in parallel and context switchingExperience encountering issues/bugs in software, and communicating those issues in a clear and concise wayExperience logging defects in bug tracking systems such as JiraNice to have skills:Experience testing software within a structured QA teamExposure to the software development life cycle and how testing appliesFamiliarity or prior use of Game Engines such as Unreal, Unity, etcAny degree of scripting or knowledge of programming skills such as Python or C++EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEOur intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life.
