Territory Sales Representative - B2B Sales - Construction / Building Products Mid-Atlantic Area - Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC area primarily Our client is a well-known and well-respected wholesale lumber and building products distributor that serves lumberyards. They are passionate about providing a high level of service to their customers. They have a dynamic sales team and are looking to add a up-and-coming sales star to handle their Mid-Atlantic Territory.
The Ideal Candidate Is: Proactive and self-motivated, with a knack for seeking out new opportunities.
Relationship-focused, skilled in building and maintaining trust with clients.
Adaptable and resilient, able to navigate market changes and customer demands with a positive, can-do attitude.
Is constantly seeking ways to improve their performance and develop themselves personally and professionally.
The Ideal Candidate Has: At least 3 years in an outside or field sales role with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. OR at least 2 years of inside or outside sales experience in the building products industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, capable of effectively articulating value propositions to diverse audiences.
An aptitude for territory management, from strategic planning to tactical execution.
Experience with new business development, including prospecting and cold calling, showing tenacity and creativity in expanding the customer base.
Exposure to or understanding of residential construction or the building products industry is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities + Opportunities: Nourish existing lumberyard customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty while maximizing sales opportunities.
Make sales calls to Builders, Contractors, Remodelers, and Homeowners to drive pull through sales or if they express an interest in your product lines.
Prospect for new business, expanding the client base and territory through strategic outreach and networking.
Represent the company's portfolio of quality products, becoming a trusted advisor to clients on solutions that meet their needs.
Collaborate with internal team and co-workers to stay ahead of industry trends, product knowledge, and competitive landscapes.
