You will be responsible for driving sales within the Midwest region, building, and managing relationships with lighting channel ecosystem (end customers, lighting reps, EC's, distributors, ESCO's, and specifiers) customers and promoting our IoT smart lighting solutions.You'll make an impact as you:Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market penetration within the assigned region/territory in the IoT smart lighting industry.Identify and target potential customers and partners, including architects, engineers, lighting designers, facility managers, energy managers, directors of sustainability, VP of construction, and other stakeholders interested in adopting IoT-enabled smart lighting solutions.Manage each lighting agency in the assigned region to develop new business and increase overall sales. This includes training and developing lighting agency staff and customers, ensuring reps dedicate sufficient time to the Enlighted product line with the overall goal of increasing sales.Present and demonstrate the features and benefits of our IoT smart lighting solutions, highlighting how they enhance energy efficiency, optimize operations, and improve user experience.Collaborate with lighting agents and internal teams, including product development, marketing, and technical support, to ensure customer satisfaction, project implementation success, effective after-sales support, and the achievement of promotion targets.Conduct in-field market research and provide well thought out new product ideas including target market, necessary listings, suggested price points and anticipated sales forecast.Prepare and deliver persuasive sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, including revenue quotas, product mix goals, and market share objectives.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software.Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities within the region/territory.You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Minimum 3-5 years of experience in lighting or lighting controls salesBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other Business majorAbility to travel up to 50% to meet with customers, attend industry events, and conduct sales activitiesThis position must be based remotely within the following states to support the geography of Enlighted's business partners: Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio, or Michigan. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:Strong knowledge of the IoT, lighting controls and smart lighting industry, including trends, technologies, products, and customer requirementsStrong understanding of IoT concepts and their application to smart lighting solutionsExcellent sales and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify leads, build rapport, and close dealsProficiency in using CRM software (specifically Salesforce) and other sales tools to manage and track sales activitiesYou'll benefit from:Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. Additionally, a commission plan is also part of the compensation package for this sales position.
