Job summary
Energy Transfer is seeking an entry level Operations Technician at our Alto, MI location.The Terminal Operator is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment and handling product receipt and delivery.In addition, the individual in this position will conduct driver orientations and enforce company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
• Operate a propane/butane storage terminal with rail and truck loading/unloading facilities• Perform various tasks including periodic inspections of equipment, troubleshoot process-related issues, and complete maintenance work orders• Maintain the grounds and perform general maintenance tasks• Test system safety devices and inspect/process equipment• Conduct driver orientations and enforce company policies and procedures• Comply with OSHA 1910.119 PSM regulation• Perform and document product quality testing• Complete required computer-based training• Occasionally travel to work or field locations, and/or attend meetings or training• Maintain full compliance with applicable regulations
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED• Previous experience in the LPG industry and/or truck/railroad terminal operations is preferred• Good verbal and written communication skills• Mechanical, electrical or instrumentation experience or education in an industrial environment is an asset• Basic computer skills, comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel• Able to operate office equipment such as a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, and telephone• Able to work independently or within a small team in a fast-paced environment• A valid Driver's License is required• Work schedule varies depending upon workload and seasonally, with occasional overtime and work on nights, weekends, and holidays• Relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
