Temporary Campus Visits Assistant Location Berea, KY : Temporary Campus Visits Assistant Summary: The Temporary Campus Visits Assistant serves as a member of the Campus Visits & Events Team and assists with the daily operations of the front lobby and front desk area, including all daily tours and all aspects of daily individual and group visits. Minimum Qualifications Required: Education required to ensure success in this position: Some high school required High school degree preferred Experience required to ensure success in this position: Strong oral and written communication skills required Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds highly preferred Visitor's center or busy reception area experience a plus Events planning or coordination a plus Special skills, knowledge and abilities: Strong customer service aptitude, capacity to engage student information systems, ability to recognize and adhere to best practices for confidentiality License, certification, or registration necessary: Valid driver's license Required background checks Physical requirements: Sitting, standing walking, ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. o Serve on the Campus Visits Team o Support the welcome, tour experience, and post visit follow-up for on-campus daily visitors (e.g. front desk, lobby, hospitality cart, thank you cards, etc.) o Support virtual campus visits o Support the Student Ambassador Team o Support the organization and implementation of all Admissions events o Support with answering phones, creating packets, making reservation confirmation calls, and building maintenance o Collaborate with the Campus Visits Team to discover new and creative ways to serve our guests o Collaborate with other members of the Admissions Staff to ensure effective and excellent service to our prospective students and their guests Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary to assist the College in the attainment of the goals set forth and the enhancement of a positive, respectful learning environment for all staff, faculty and students.
