As a PBX Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and professional communication for Northridge Hospital Medical Center. You will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing calls, directing calls to the appropriate departments or individuals, and providing excellent customer service.
Answer Main PBX Switchboard, correctly routing all external and internal calls. Perform all Emergency code notifications, following established policies and procedures. Perform all Voice, overhead paging. Perform all urgent radio pages upon request using in house beeper system. Assist any and all Customers with any questions related to hospital Telephone service. Assist Telecommunications Supervisor maintaining in house Telephone Directory. Assist in any urgent patient room phone repair/replacement. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year experience, working on a high volume PBX Switchboard required. Typing Skills, Customer Service for Telephone Communications required. CT FIRESAF (obtain 90 days from start date) This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
