The University of Nevada Reno NCED department is seeking to hire a part-time hourly employee. This position is responsible for assisting project staff in providing assistive technology and telecommunication program services and supports to individuals with disabilities, service providers, and the general community.
This position is located off campus at: 1755 E. Plumb Lane, Suite 118, Reno, Nevada 89502
Duties to include but not limited to:
Provide basic office related clerical and programmatic supports. Generally assists project specialists and coordinators.
Provide basic information and assistance about the programs by phone, email, online, and in person at activities and events.
Assist program staff with intakes, and other basic general direct service activities relating to assistive technology under the Federal AT Act including outreach, public awareness, training, technical assistance, and statewide leadership.
Assist program staff to provide basic telecommunication and related assistive technology equipment and program services to individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, and speech impaired.
Assist staff with the assistive technology User Groups and document activities, attendance, and other logistical support.
Assist staff with basic data collection for reports for the Nevada Telecommunication Equipment Distribution Program and the Nevada Assistive Technology Resource Center.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must have experience in general office clerical duties
Candidate must have the ability to work with diverse populations including people with disabilities.

Expected hours to work per week: 10-20

$18.00 - $22.00/hr
