Foley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and NW Missouri. Our Transmission / Component Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, rebuilding powertrain components, transmissions, torque converters, and axels for heavy equipment applications. Perform all levels of repair as well as full reconditioning on component Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments Some troubleshooting on equipment may occasionally be required Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers on their repairs Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments Understand crane hoist and rigging equipment (preferred) Preferred forklift experience Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications What will put you ahead:
