Technical Writer - Product Manuals Pella, Iowa - Full Time Productive Resources () is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Pella, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a talented Technical Writer and will play a crucial role in creating clear, concise, and informative documentation that guides users on the proper operation, maintenance, and safety procedures associated with equipment. This position requires strong writing skills, technical aptitude, and attention to detail.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties: Collaborate with subject matter experts including engineers, product managers, and technical specialists to create comprehensive product manuals for machines. Ensure that manuals adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Translate complex technical information into clear and easy-to-understand language suitable for a diverse audience. Provide step-by-step instructions, diagrams, and illustrations to guide users through the proper use, assembly, installation, and maintenance of equipment. Conduct thorough research and review of technical specifications, engineering drawings, and product documentation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of manual content. Integrate safety guidelines, warnings, and precautions into product manuals to promote safe operation and minimize the risk of accidents or injuries. Requirements: Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in the manufacturing or heavy equipment industry. Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively. Familiarity with engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to equipment operation and safety is desirable. Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communication, Engineering, or related field.
