Job Title: Technical Support Specialist Wage/Hour Status: Exempt

Reports to: Director of Technology Services Pay Grade: Technical 3

Dept./School: Technology Services Date Revised: 5/2024

Primary Purpose :

To provide support, repair, and installation of computing devices and related peripherals, audio-visual equipment, and software.

To provide level-one assistance with network issues.

To provide training and mentoring of Campus Technicians.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Associate's degree, technical degree, or technical training/certification and 5 years experience in a technical support role
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of Windows OS
Knowledge of Mac OS
Knowledge of iOS
Knowledge of Chrome OS
Knowledge of Active Directory
Knowledge of Google Suite
Experience repairing and troubleshooting devices, and printers
Experience supporting and troubleshooting local area networks
Major Responsibilities and Duties: Maintains and supports District computers
Maintains and supports District iOS devices
Maintains and supports printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
Maintains and supports audio-visual equipment such as projectors and document cameras
Maintains and supports interactive displays
Level 1 support for networking issues
Maintains hardware inventory database in the field
Provides mentorship opportunities
Assists with installation and implementation of projects
Efficiently prioritizes and completes work orders
Maintains technical certifications
Maintains confidentiality of staff and student information.
Regular and consistent attendance.
All other duties as assigned.

Lift, carry, push and/or pull items of up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis

Sit or stand for extended periods of time
