The RoleAs a Technical Support Engineering Intern, based out of our San Mateo HQ, you will work on leading-edge cloud-managed IoT technology while providing troubleshooting, design, and integration assistance to our growing base of enterprise customers. Interns work on the same issues and projects as full-time Technical Support Engineers. If you are interested in making an impact and learning valuable career skills in a highly technical environment, come join us!ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues related to the Verkada platformProvide best practice design and integration expertise to enterprise customersCommunicate technical matters to customers both orally and in writingOwn customer issues from creation to resolutionCollaborate with Engineering and Product teams to test new products and identify bugsContribute content to our Knowledge BaseLab testing and team projectsRequirementsAvailable for a full-time (40 hours per week) in-person internship from September - December 2024 in San Mateo, CAThird or Fourth year college student enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a related technical discipline: Networking, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity from an accredited university Coursework with a focus on computer networking, Linux, or computer systemsAbility to communicate complex technical matters both orally and in writingDemonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work within a team environmentIndustry certifications are a plus: CCNP, CCNA, CCENT, CCDA, CWNP, CWNA, MCSE, CEH, Network+, Security+, A+Intern Perks & BenefitsVerkada is committed to investing in the holistic health and wellbeing of all employees and their families.
