Technical Service Advisor

Job summary
The Technical Service Advisor is the department expert in troubleshooting, installation, and mechanical procedures.Assists in skill and product knowledge development of co-workers, customers, and contractors.Coordinates with Project Manager/Coordinators/Engineers on all projects when assistance is necessary.

Responsibilities
• Performs mechanical system inspections and troubleshooting.• Works with Project Manager (PM) to shadow them during job site service/warranty related visits.• Advises supervisor of any necessary modifications, changes, or upgrades to mechanical systems.• Completes and submits written reports covering all aspects of each assignment.• Delivers inspection reports and notifies customer/contractor of necessary steps to resolve.• Manages issue-related projects to resolution.• Receives troubleshooting calls and arranges on-site visits with contractors.• Recommends product and knowledge enhancement opportunities.• Stays current with new documentation as distributed from manufacturers and changes internal records.• Researches and tests new products, software, devices, etc.
Requirements
• Minimum five years of experience in an HVAC capacity.• Minimum five years of experience in a mechanical capacity.• Minimum five years of experience in systems including on-the-job experience as a systems/mechanical specialist.• Strong knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical concepts, and operations.• Advance knowledge of Controls, Boilers and Chillers.• Advance knowledge of refrigeration and rooftop equipment.• Ability to read building plans.• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.• Excellent oral and written communication skills.• Strong problem-solving ability.
