The Sales Engineer will be responsible for sales and promotion of a structural engineering system for multi-story residential projects (apartments, hotels, student housing, and senior living). Duties will include:
• Scheduling and making presentations to Owners, Architects, Structural Engineers, and General Contractors. (Primarily repeat customers, but may involve some new customer reach out as well)
• Understanding the takeoff software and pricing spreadsheets used to formulate the project costs
• Working with estimators on our team to communicate all aspects of the job with each other. - preparing estimates and proposals for preliminary bids and up to contract bids and managing those proposals.
• Providing technical assistance to the preconstruction team (design team and/or general contractor).
• Work with Operations team and installers to understand and improve upon bidding practices. Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years construction product sales experience.
• This experience does not necessarily need to be spent in a true "sales" role – it can be a technical role which involved a consistent relationship with customers where some sales was involved.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Outgoing, charismatic personality with an ability to successfully engage customers to promote and sell the Infinity Structural System.
• A 4-year Engineering degree is preferred, but can also be another technical or construction degree (building materials, construction science, etc.)
• Willingness to travel +/- 3 days/week every 3-4 weeks as needed
