The AUKUS Group, within SPA's Sea, Land, and Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA's AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Program Office and associated partner organizations. Analysts and Engineers supporting AUKUS will continue SPA's decades of support to the undersea force and assist in developing a trilateral submarine force for the future. This is a high-profile, major international program of significant importance to the future of the US Navy and its partners in an era of renewed strategic competition.
SPA has an immediate need for a candidate to serve as the AUKUS Program Office Phase 3 Technical Authority Program Analyst. In this role, the Technical Authority Program Analyst will support a NAVSEA Team Submarine program office charged with the planning and management for the early stages of a major acquisition program.
Responsibilities will include: 1) To p rovide support to the NAVSEA AUKUS program, focusing on program support to undersea platform acquisition, 2) Support to the Technical Authority Integrated Project Team (TA IPT) and the TA IPT workstream leads, 3) Maintaining the TA IPT Program Risk Register; supporting integrated schedule and risk analysis, 4) Document control, and 5) Interacting with international and government partners.
This position is located at SPA Headquarters in Alexandria, VA. This position will require traveling to the Washington Navy Yard as necessary to collaborate with Phase 3 personnel. The position could transition to being seated at the Washington Navy Yard.
There will be some opportunity to travel to partner and industry stakeholder locations. There is also an opportunity for light telework.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 3-5 years professional experience Ability to communicate task and project status to supervisors and the Government client. including creating verbal and written communication products Strong administrative, organizational, and analytical skills and the willingness to learn and build relationships with stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications Current DoD SECRET clearance with the ability to maintain it throughout employment Desired Qualifications: Experience with US Navy submarine operations and maintenance Experience supporting a NAVSEA acquisition program office. Experience/knowledge of Navy acquisition program office organizations and processes Experience with Team Submarine Experience working with international partners Experience in a DoD/client-facing environment Knowledge of DoD written correspondence styles and formats and task management.
