Tech Support Specialist Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and improve documentation to aid resolution to client problems. Supervise the unit prep process. Work with IT personnel to help solve issues including firewall, connectivity and security related issues, video transmission and distribution issues. Intermediary between the help desk staff and the development team. Suggest changes and improvements to the software. Provide desktop and laptop support. Tech Support Specialist Skills and Requirements: Help desk experience with Windows and Linux troubleshooting. Experience with firewalls and network appliances, troubleshooting connectivity and download issues. Curiosity about technology and a desire to find the root cause of issues and learn new things. Politeness, patience, persistence, and an ability to work with both client and personnel. Ability to work with clients on solving problems and lead them to correct solutions without problem. Ability to document actions taken, in writing, in both a ticketing system and help desk knowledge base -- training will be critical to this position.
