JOB SUMMARY:Provides the technical skills needed to support the daily operation of the assigned entertainment venue and/or event, including the operation and execution of entertainment shows.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the daily operation of the technical elements within the assigned entertainment venue and/or event.Responsible for completing pre and post show presets, resets and checklists of assigned technical equipment elements.Assist with the appropriate maintenance of venue and equipment as assigned for proper operation, organization and cleanliness.Assisting in maintaining shows or event specific inventory of all technical equipment and supplies.Accountable to strictly adhere to all policies and procedures, as defined by the Entertainment Department, governing the safe operation of all technical equipment.Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team memberinvolvementactivities.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION:High school degree is requiredTechnical school is preferredEXPERIENCE:1-3 years: One to three years' experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity preferred;or equivalent combination of education and experience.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:REASONING ABILITYAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situationsVISIONThe following visual abilities are all required:Clear vision at 20 inches or lessClear distance vision at 20 feet or moreAccurate color vision (the ability to identify and distinguish colors)Excellent peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)Accurate depth perception (three-dimensional ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)Ability to adjust one's focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationYour talent, skills and experience will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package.Universal Orlando Resort.Here you can.Universal Orlando is an equal opportunity employer.
