JOB DESCRIPTION
Ekiben is one of Baltimore's best and most unique restaurants. We serve world-class Asian fusion food in a creative, casual way, and we're consistently rated among the top restaurants in the city and the country. We've recently been recognized as a James Beard Semifinalist, and Yelp has named us a Top 100 Best Restaurant in the United States each of the last three years.
Our team is growing, and we're searching for ambitious humans who love food and love serving people, and who can maintain Ekiben's great reputation and uphold our high standards. You don't have to have any experience in the restaurant industry—you simply have to have a killer work ethic and a true desire to learn and grow. We want you to be crazy motivated and to give us no other option than to promote you quickly.

Here's what you should know about our approach to building the best team in the business: almost everyone who starts at Ekiben starts as a dishwasher. From there, once you prove mastery of that station, we'll teach you others. At each station, your pay will increase and you'll keep moving forward. As you learn and grow, we'll actively find new opportunities for you with Ekiben. Our hope is that one day in the near future, you'll be a manager or general manager capable of leading a team and running an entire Ekiben location on your own.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods Greets all guests to make them feel welcome Prepares and presents quality work and products at all times Tenders credit transactions Maintains a neat and clean work area Adheres to all safe food handling policies and procedures Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment REQUIREMENTS:
No previous experience required Willingness to learn and work hard Must have reliable transportation Must be able to consistently carry products/boxes and miscellaneous weighing no more than 60 pounds Must be able to remain on one's feet for extended periods of time Must have good communication skills Must have a friendly and courteous demeanor and work well with others Must be dedicated to providing excellent service Must be reliable and maintain consistent, punctual attendance Available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous restaurant experience a plus but not required
