Job Summary: The Production Control Team Leader for our Conveyance group is responsible for overseeing the movement of materials throughout our facility, based in Durham, NC.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Safeguards production floor operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols. Maintains physical condition of production floor by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Assume responsibility for delivery of all route deliveries to the production lines on a daily basis. Completes Conveyance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Maintain Conveyance staff by training, evaluating, and supervising team members under the direction of the direct group leader. Knowledgeable of warehouse / manufacturing environment and controls. Strong background in inventory, safety, warehousing, and material handling equipment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Able to follow directions given by management team Basic Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: 2-4 years of Production Control Experience or 2 years prior supervisory experience Relevant inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Proven Leadership Skills to include the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve established goals and targets. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and deal with frequent interruptions, changes or delays Trained in operating a fork lift with the keen ability to train others to success Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs (Intermediate Microsoft Excel is a requirement) Self-Motivated, Team Oriented, and must display a positive and proactive approach towards change and flexibility in daily operations Strong verbal and written communication skills Job Posted by ApplicantPro
