East Louisville Learning Center is seeking high energy, outgoing, manager for a part-time teacher/tutor supervisor position. This position will help run daily business operations, tutor, and will be principally responsible for overseeing all Center testing and instructional activity.
25-34 hours/week with opportunity to become full-time as responsibilities grow.
Manage all aspects of tutoring and exam prep instruction, including supervision of program prescription, initial program, program revision, instruction, interim testing, and student progress. Teach each student during his or her first session and as needed. Ensure that all instruction at the Center is conducted to the highest standard of performance and
professionalism. Review each student's instructional program at least monthly to determine programming needs. Maintain all student-related administrative materials, including Student Permanent Folders and student Instructional Binders, whether in paper or electronic form. Prepare for and conduct teacher meetings. Train, manage, motivate, observe, and evaluate teachers, or assist in the process as directed by the Center Director. Maintain detailed knowledge of curriculum and operations. Transmit changes to teachers and staff. Communicate to the Center Director about any student learning or behavioral issues Conduct initial inquiries, intakes, and consultations Conduct Student Interim Conferences. To be knowledgeable of scheduling and marketing tasks to be able to fill in as needed. Daytime, evening and Saturday work hours required. A typical schedule may fluctuate between daytime and evening shifts and has flexibility to work around your life!
Sample schedule: Monday Noon - 8 pm, Tuesday Noon - 6 pm, Wednesday 2pm - 9 pm, Thursday Noon - 4 pm, every other Saturday 8:30am-3:30pm.
