Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver appropriate science curriculum content• Teach and assess writing• Assess student learning and alter instruction to meet needs• Use district curriculum to plan daily instructional activities• Maintain order in the classroom• Supervise students in non-classroom time• Collaborate with other faculty• Communicate regularly with parents• Ensure compliance with federal and state statutes• Demonstrate commitment to improving professional competence
Requirements
• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Physics• Completed a state-approved teacher preparation program in Physics or have a bachelor's degree with passing Praxis exam in Physics• Submit transcripts and references• Pass background investigations/tests
