Responsibilities
• Coordinate instructional efforts with classroom teachers• Prepare lesson materials and present subject matter to students• Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups• Supervise residents in classrooms and other areas• Conduct independent living skills demonstrations• Distribute teaching materials and collect completed assignments• Enforce administration policies and rules governing residents• Grade assignments and tests• Instruct and monitor residents in equipment and material use• Organize and supervise recreational activities• Participate in conferences regarding resident progress• Prepare teaching aids and lesson outlines• Provide extra assistance to residents with special needs• Take class attendance and maintain records• Complete progress notes on residents• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees• Carry out therapeutic regimens and maintain equipment• Requisition and stock teaching materials• Type, file, and duplicate materials• Use computers and audiovisual aids for presentations
Requirements
• At least 21 years old• Associate degree preferred• Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Waynesville, MO• In-person work location
