Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life forall.Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.Title: TD Planning Industrial EngineerArea: Industrial EngineeringJob Summary and DescriptionA TD Planning IE is part of the Technology Development (TD) Industrial Engineering (IE) Team and is responsible for TD traveler management and associated tool forecasting, Capital and Expense planning; forecasting and tracking materials, consumables, and other associated Operating Expense requirements; and working with the ID1 IE Planning team to plan for and monitor TD shared equipment. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:SafetyCompletes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policiesFollows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulationsReports all safety-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (Emergency Response Team, Supervision, etc.)Performs audits and submits good catches on safety issuesCommunication/CollaborationPartners closely with the Process Development (PD), Equipment Development Engineering (EDE), and ID1 stakeholders (MDE, IE) to keep updated on development needs, tool requirements, and ID1 shared tooling requirementsPartners closely with PD and PI teams to understand why TD travelers are changing and associated impactsCoordinates TD traveler and input changes with the ID1 team to ensure synced plansCoordinates development teams on capital justifications and planning driven assumption changesCollaborates with key stakeholders on future production and development wafers, tool/material/consumable requirements, and space planningPartners closely with the Process Development (PD), Equipment Development Engineering (EDE), Procurement, and Facilities stakeholders to keep updated on strategic area plans, priorities, and projectsProject Management/PlanningDesigns and coordinates projects with several different departmentsCreates timelines with milestones for complex tasks and projectsMinimizes duplication through effective planningAdjusts plans based on execution to milestones and factors in capabilities when setting plansTechnical/Data AnalysisMaintains accurate planning models (forecasts, tool requirements, capital, expense)Applies IE concepts and statistical analysis to maintain quality and audit manufacturing information, analyze metric quality, and improve modeling techniquesApplies IE concepts to requirements analysis, constraint management, and space planningEvaluates what-if scenarios representing changes to metrics and partners with engineering to understand the impact of the changesUses experience and observations to design experiments to get to the root cause on issuesAnalyzes and interprets internal and external data sources to suggest capacity changesIncorporates experience and observations to design experiments to determine necessary area changesDrives action through effective data and clear communicationSuccessful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization and prioritization skillsProven ability to establish and maintain effective relationshipsProven ability to communicate complex analysis in a succinct, clear, and actionable mannerProven ability to plan, drive and complete projects effectivelyProven skills in working effectively with team members from different disciplinesDemonstrated critical thinking skillsDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to be detailed oriented and able to follow complex proceduresProven ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasksAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and Power PointDemonstrated ability to continuously learn and self-improveDemonstrated ability to identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to improve overall efficiencyDemonstrated ability to organize and efficiently facilitate meetings and project teamsDemonstrated analytical problem solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex problems and address root causesStrong partnering and team-working skillsProven ability in multi-tasking complex projectsProven ability to communicate and present technical information effectivelyAdvanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting skillsAdvanced understanding of statisticsAdvanced understanding of area tool configurations, capabilities, processes, and mechanical functionalityAdvanced understanding of manufacturing science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, etc.)Demonstrated skill at prioritizing area projects for engineering and production based on capacity and cycle time needsIntermediate understanding of database management methods and techniquesPreferred skills in computer science (SQL, python, etc) Intermediate problem-solver: understanding of data, good data intuition and data visualization skillsExperience or knowledge of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansingEducation and ExperienceRequired: BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management (POM), equivalent degree, or relevant experiencePreferred: MS in an Engineering FieldPreferred: 1-3 years in manufacturing work experienceAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
