Position Overview: At GPAC, we specialize in connecting top talent with leading firms in the public accounting industry. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Senior to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing tax compliance, reporting, and planning for our diverse range of clients. They will work closely with managers and clients to ensure accurate and efficient tax processes while staying updated on relevant tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. Assist in tax planning and research to minimize liabilities and ensure compliance. Analyze and interpret tax regulations to resolve complex issues. Collaborate effectively with clients and team members. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members. Ability to complete individual, corporate, partnership, and business tax returns Assure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations Tax research, tax projections, tax planning Accounting for closely-held businesses Communicate with clients over video calls, phone calls, and email Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or progress towards CPA certification is preferred. 2 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation. Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a team environment and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
