Tax Manager Job Description and Responsibilities Tax planning: Develop and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize compliance Tax preparation: Oversee the preparation and filing of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns Tax strategy development: Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and analyze their impact on company operations and financials Tax return reviews: Review tax filings for accuracy and completeness Tax audits: Manage tax audits and inquiries Tax advice: Provide tax planning advice to clients and other stakeholders Tax collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis   Manage the tax team. Train new and existing tax staff. Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance Proven work experience as a Tax Manager Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns Knowledge of tax software and MS Office Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships Strong leadership and personnel management skills Analytical skills with detail orientation Skills/Qualifications/Requirements Solid verbal and written communication Excellent personnel development and delegation skills, including training/instruction 5+ years experience in tax preparation CPA designation
