Pemex Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX, and is part of the Pemex group which is a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics and marketing. The refinerys rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crudes to produce the high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The Pemex site is co-located with other 3rd party chemical facilities allowing for further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products.

Manage Tax Compliance Responsibilities: Ensure full and timely compliance with tax regulations, including managing relationship with external tax adviser, covering the following income/margin tax sales and use tax property tax excise tax withholding tax payroll tax partner tax distributions Conduct a thorough analysis of taxes to provide expert advice on tax planning opportunities to ensure compliance with local regulations. Maintain documentation and records related to tax filings, provisions and other tax-related activities. Provide guidance and support to commercial /supply chain teams on financial issues, including tax implications of business decisions and transactions. Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and proactively identify potential risks or opportunities for the organization. Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices Part of the Deer Park finance pool to allow opportunities to support projects, allocated based on development needs and workload. Qualifications: BBA Finance, Tax or Accounting 15+ years experience with tax-related activities Microsoft Outlook, SAP, Power BI preferred Able to gain the confidence of various internal and external parties building on strong knowledge and understanding of the business drivers, value and risk Problem solving mindset with the courage to ensure professional financial rigor is applied to commercial decision-making process and risk management bringing analytics and insights to the table Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
