Tax Director Remote Available

A Public Accounting and advisory firm is looking for a Tax Director to join their team. This is one of the rare accounting firms that values work-life balance - May through December the office is closed on Fridays.
The candidate will:
Review tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types
and individuals.
Prepare tax analysis and special projects related to sales, acquisitions, cash flow, and similar
Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax
Liability.
Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates
Prepare or review complex U.S. and state corporate, individual income, gift tax, and estate tax
Returns.
Conduct complex tax research and prepare a memorandum outlining findings and conclusions.
Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquires, and tax notices. Communicate with IRS and
clients in connection with audits, inquires, and tax notices.
Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives
regarding various tax matters.
Lead department in the knowledge of software, processes, and workflows.
Requirements:
10-15 years minimum of relevant experience
Experience in individual tax compliance, planning (experience in CS Suite and UltraTax a plus)
Tax research experience a must (RIA)
Gift, estate, and trust return experience would be a plus
Must be an out of the box thinker
Experience in partnership tax would be a plus
Outgoing and friendly personality – a team player
Forward-thinking and always looking for ways to improve, learn, and grow
Desire and ability to train, mentor/lead, and develop staff
