This is a on-site position in Downtown Phoenix, AZ
Our client is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and professional Tax Staff to join their team! Their tax work is more complex than most firms, so excellent technical skills with experience preparing tax returns and performing complex tax research are essential.
We would like a professional with the ability to reach beyond current tax knowledge and identify areas to grow and develop as a professional. There will be opportunities to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
Our client is an ERC technology company and has roughly 200 employees. They do not require their staff to record time. The successful candidate will be reviewing employment tax returns and amending returns.
Essential Functions 1. Ensure the timely, accurate, & creative delivery of tax preparation and strategy services
2. Responsible for preparing federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings
3. Actively participate in strategic tax planning for clients
4. Demonstrate ability to track and monitor projects and communicate status
5. Follow all process playbooks
6. Research and co-lead meetings on efficiency and technical trainings
7. Develop an understanding of our client's businesses
8. Seeks regular feedback from supervisors
9. Comply with laws and regulations
10. Support company vision, mission, and values
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM or WFH 1 or 2 days per week.
Relaxed dress code and free snacks.
Requirements Skills and Qualifications 1. 1 - 3 years of experience in tax compliance
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (required)
3. Master's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
4. EA or CPA required.
5. Previous experience in 1120S and 1065 required, but can still be fairly junior.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
7. Ability and desire to work independently
8. Strong sense of respect, teamwork, dignity, and integrity
9. Highly professional, have good judgment; an eye for detail and be willing to take initiative
10. Required to pass a background investigation check
