StreetWise Partners' one-year mentoring program provides customized, individualized mentorship for internship and job seekers while helping them establish an expansive professional network made up of hundreds of advocates who open doors and support long term career success. By 2026 we aim to launch 1900 careers, which equates to $92m in first year cumulative wages to transform individuals, families and communities.
Position Overview: The Talent Services Lead will support the expansion of programming to increase the number of job seekers employed from 50 per year to 200 per year by 2026. The Lead will be responsible for communicating with HR professionals from partner organizations, connecting job seekers to job opportunities, and supporting job seekers through the interview process. The Talent Services Lead will also support the team in finding new employment opportunities for job seekers through research and initiating conversations with HR departments of DC-based companies. 
This is a full-time position in Washington, DC, and reports to the Senior Director of Talent Services. This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days in the office or as needed.
Responsibilities Include: Serve as a key member of a growing talent services team; drive employment success for 50 job seekers in 2024 and 100 beginning in 2025. Spearhead the job seeker intake process by collecting documents, summaries of experience, and resumes; conduct intake calls. Create and coordinate onsite and virtual employment events that engage corporate partners and employers. Strategically invite job seekers to corporate events based on interest and skills. Track event responses and monitor registrations. Manage a diverse offering of job seeker support services including, but not limited to, the creation and distribution of weekly Talent Services newsletter; creating and maintaining a job seeker directory; and collecting updates and success stories. Conduct quarterly check-in meetings with all job seekers in Talent Services to assess needs; create goals and make referrals as needed.  Collaborate with HR professionals from partner organizations to understand their hiring needs, company culture, and baseline skills required for their roles. Research open job opportunities with employer partners and reach out to HR contacts to assess if the opportunities are a fit for StreetWise job seekers.  Send job opportunities to targeted email lists and serve as the liaison between StreetWise job seekers and the company throughout the application and interview process.  Support StreetWise job seekers as they move through the interview process by conducting resume reviews, interview prep, and connecting them to one-time volunteers for industry support.  Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Talent Services to research new potential employment partners and support introductory calls.  Collect outcomes data and track them in Salesforce. Competencies: Organization Strategic Thinking Partner Engagement Team Collaboration Passion for Mission Preferred Qualifications: 2 - 5 years of experience working in workforce development and/or recruiting Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Drive to share lessons learned, creatively problem solve, explore best practices, and continuously improve service delivery Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills Committed to social justice and racial equity; sincere interest in the mission Event Coordination experience Ability to work some evenings  Salary and Benefits Comprehensive benefits package including 100% health care coverage for individuals. 4 weeks of paid vacation and a paid week off at the end of the year. Flexible work hours, select summer Fridays off, and a hybrid work schedule. Salary range $55,000 - $60,000 annually Physical Environment This position requires sedentary work. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
